Walking With My Mom, Poland

If there is one thing my recent stay in Poland was full of, which I am deeply grateful for, it would be all the walks that I took with my mom. We walked in the area where my parents live, we hiked in the nearby mountains, and we just stepped out of the house for a casual mid-week stroll. This one was one of them. It was a beautiful, warmish fall day. The light was golden, as the sun was getting ready to set. and the view of the city was heart-warming. This is where I come from. This is where my roots used to grow, before I was transplanted to other areas, this is where part of me still belongs....

We sat and watched the setting sun, admiring the show that the sun, light and clouds put together in front of us. We cherished that moment, we probably didn't talk too much, but watched, and thought of this time we had right there together. Who knows, maybe fall visits are the best ones?

All the leaves that had fallen from the maple trees!! It's fall, and it's beautiful! Especially when admired with your loved ones!! And that light and shadow play.... The most common place for our walks would be this one. It's close to the house and it stretches for a long time along a little stream (that is way greater in the spring as the snow melts) with a calming view of nearby mountains and forests.... Finally, we'd arrive at this spot, sit at the bench, away from the city, watching occasional passers by, the city landscape in front of us and the mountains behind.... Such a relaxing place! We'd talk and enjoy these precious moments Another one of these precious golden walks with a view Chasing the setting sun on our quasi-daily walk.... It's still fall, I'm still here and the world around is beautiful.... This might be my last picture from Poland for a while (although you never know ). It's from one of our last walks. We sat at this spot and admired the show of a sunset in front of us....

The necessities.... And a rare picture of me.... Usually I'm the one holding the camera and snapping pictures of everybody and everything around me....
